Vegueros Tapados (Spanish for “shaded”) is a beautifully presented cigar with an oily, dark wrapper leaf. It was released in 2014. A blend of high-quality tobacco leaves from the heartland of Cuban tobacco—the Pinar del Río province—is responsible for its pronounced woody, herbal, and intensely vegetal notes. Tapados is a very interesting alternative to well-known Cuban classics. Vegueros Tapados are entirely hand-rolled (totalmente a mano) using long-filler tobacco leaves (tripa larga).
